Atlas handles Canadian specifics you can check. Sales taxes for all thirteen provinces and territories are preset, including HST in Ontario and the Atlantic provinces, with each registration number, once entered, printed under the total. Holidays follow the province. Outside Quebec, the document library uses Canadian wording and the national poison center number. Reminders go out by email, on your company's local time.

A company in Calgary or Vancouver charges GST only on pest control done on a building, and one in Toronto charges a single 13% HST line. In British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, provincial sales tax applies to equipment you sell, not to the service on a building. Each tax gets its own line, and its registration number, once entered in your settings, prints under the total. Business customers need your GST/HST number to claim input tax credits on purchases of $100 or more.
An example, between Ottawa and Gatineau
A company in Ottawa sets « Where you invoice » to Ontario, and its invoices carry 13% HST. The same day, it treats a building in Gatineau, Quebec, where GST and QST apply. In Atlas this setting applies to the whole account, not invoice by invoice. The taxes on an invoice for a Quebec customer are therefore checked by hand, with your accountant.
Licensing in Ontario
In Ontario, an exterminator holds an individual license, structural, land or water, valid five years, and the business holds an operator license that expires on December 31. Atlas keeps your license number and prints it on the post-treatment notice. It does not check it with the province.
The paperwork handed to the customer
Outside Quebec, the library's documents refer to the provincial license and to Canada's poison center number, 1-844-764-7669. In Quebec, the post-treatment notice follows section 48.4 of the pesticide management code, with the heading « TRAITEMENT AVEC PESTICIDES » and the Quebec poison center.
The words of the trade, in Atlas and in official texts
- In Atlas. job, visit, building, unit, technician and quote.
- Registration number. the number a product receives under the Pest Control Products Act. Its label can be looked up in Health Canada's label search.
- Structural exterminator license. the Ontario license class for work in and around buildings.
What about a product catalog?
It lives inside service reports, open to every account. The manager picks the products the company really uses from a catalog of products sold in Canada, with their registration number when the product carries one, or adds their own. The technician only sees the products picked.
What Atlas does not do in Canada
- It does not verify any license or permit with the authorities.
- No province is chosen for you. The company picks its own in its invoice settings before its first invoice, and that choice fills in the rates.
- The invoicing location applies to the whole account, not to a single invoice.
- Reminders go out by email, never by text message.

No. Each technician opens a personal link on their phone, with no password and nothing to install, sees only their own jobs for the day and ticks them on site. There is nothing to install and nothing to learn before using it.
Yes, since August 2026. Atlas writes the invoice from your clients and addresses, works out the taxes of your province with your registration numbers printed on it, and emails it to the client with the PDF attached. Contracts come back on their own at the frequency you choose, and unpaid invoices are chased without you, three sends per invoice at most. Atlas takes no card payments, keeps no books and connects to no accounting software.
Yes, end to end. The office interface, the technician link, the client portal and the automatic emails all exist in English and in Canadian French, and each person picks their own language. That matters for a crew working across Canada.
Every account is isolated and data is encrypted in transit and at rest, in a database hosted in North America. Every table carries its own security rule, an account reads only its own rows, and the database enforces it. The full export downloads whenever you want it, without asking.
